Regional Field Salesperson

Job Responsibilities:

The Regional Field Salesperson is accountable for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within the assigned territory by effectively promoting, selling, and securing business from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.


A successful candidate is highly motivated with a proven track record of sales experience in the fluid power industry, working with integrity to be a problem solver and determining creative solutions for customers.  The Regional Field Salesperson must work well remotely and manage time and priorities without direct supervision, gaining new customers, and growing existing customers and markets for Cross products.  The applicant must be a visionary, motivated producer, and support the Guiding Principles of Cross.

This person will utilize their expert knowledge and solution-based approaches to accomplish sales results.  An effective individual will need to follow up and follow through on all the little things, never letting a ball drop, while being proactive to move things forward.  This position requires working well in an environment with pressure and stress while engaging in multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 8+ years related sales experience
  • Knowledge of fluid power products required
  • Experience working with OEMs and Distributors designing hydraulic systems for a variety of applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 50%-70% travel expected
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
