Cross is seeking a Prototype Technician at our Lewis location.
Job Responsibilities:
The Prototype Technician is responsible for machining, assembling, and testing prototype hydraulic components to achieve consistent customer satisfaction per engineering drawings. This position ensures that prototype products are produced on schedule and at a high quality to Cross Standards. The Prototype Technician also verifies the prototype hydraulic components and cylinders through inspection and testing and completes quality documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Aptitude to learn and acquire new skills using manual machinery
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and provide detailed feedback on design, manufacturing and testing of prototype product
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Sense of urgency
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent related experience required
- Mechanical experience required
- 5+ years experience in machine shop or job shop environment preferred
